The Bambouseraie de Prafrance in Generargues is a spectacular botanical garden that showcases species of bamboo from around the world. Set in over 17 hectares of land, visitors can explore the beauty of this ancient plant along scenic pathways and bridges. Stroll among the groves, where bamboo towers up to 10 meters high and spans as far as 20 meters; a majestic sight! This family-friendly destination also features beautiful gardens with water lilies, an arboretum that displays rare trees such as oaks, chestnuts and pines, a tropical greenhouse with exotic plants normally found near the equator, miniature forests and even an artificial waterfall. Be sure to marvel at some of the oldest bamboos onsite - some dating back well over 100 years!
