Visit Central Region

The Central Region of Ghana is filled with a rich and diverse history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cultures. Located along the beautiful coastline of the Atlantic Ocean and bordered by Ashanti, Eastern, Western, and Greater Accra Regions, Central Ghana is one of the most frequented parts of this West African nation. Tourist attractions include Kakum National Park for its canopy walkway through lush rainforest vegetation; Elmina Castle for its historical significance as a former slave trading post; and Assin Manso Slave River where slaves were once bathed before being shipped off to Europe during the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. In addition to these sites there are many beach resorts to relax at like Busua Beach Resort or Pension Anchorages in Cape Coast.

Central Ghana also has many notable landmarks such as Fort Amsterdam which was originally constructed by Dutch traders in 1637. And don't forget about Assin Manso which is believed to be the final resting place for Kwame Nkrumah who led Ghana's independence movement from Great Britain in 1957. With so much culture and beauty it's no wonder why Central Ghana remains one of Africa's top destinations!
