Mudon is a small city in the southeastern part of Myanmar, located about 60km away from the capital of Yangon. The city is known for its old monastic sites and charming riverbanks, which attract many tourists to visit each year.

A famous attraction in Mudon is the Maha Myat Muni Paya, also known as Burma's "Living Buddha". It was built in 1597 and it stands tall until today with its impressive Burmese architecture and gold-plated facade. Visitors can pay their respects here by offering flowers or lighting incense sticks as a sign of reverence.

Another gem in Mudon's crown is Shwe Zedi monastery, located at the edge of town along a riverbank where visitors can take peaceful walks while admiring stunning views across the landscape. This ancient monastery dates back to 1852 and it's filled with sculptures that were once thought to be lost during World War II but have since been restored to their former beauty.

Finally, visitors should make sure to explore traditional markets around Mudon where they will be able to purchase locally crafted souvenirs such as hand-crafted jewellery or wooden carvings made from teakwood found nearby in forests surrounding this charming town!
