Ye is an ancient city located in the Mon State of southeastern Myanmar. It is a peaceful, friendly destination with a rich cultural heritage and historical sites to explore. Visitors can see some of the oldest pagodas in the region, including Shwemokhtaw Pagoda with its golden spire reflecting the setting sun, and Uppatasanti Pagoda which houses a significant relic of Lord Buddha. Ye has plenty of attractions such as two fascinating monasteries, lively marketplaces selling traditional handicrafts and delicious street food, and numerous temples nestled amid serene gardens within charming villages.

An experience not to be missed while visiting Ye is viewing the spectacular sunrise from one of its many sacred hills. Head up Mt Zwegabin for unforgettable panoramas that stretch from one horizon to another or take an early morning boat ride along Mya Thein Tan Creek for stunning reflections on still waters. Other activities include exploring ancient ruins at Nordoukon Teik Pagoda where you can enjoy views over paddy fields or participate in village life by joining in local festivities with songs and dances around bonfires at nightfall.
