The War Memorial of Korea is a museum located in Seoul, South Korea. It commemorates and preserves the history of the Korean War, as well as other wars involving the nation. Visitors can explore an extensive collection of artifacts related to various wars in which South Korea has participated, including weaponry, uniforms, photographs and more. The main exhibition hall is divided into four sections that cover different themes such as modern warfare technology, military medical services and patriotic spirit.
The memorial also has an outdoor area that includes sculptures depicting aspects of war as well as monuments for soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their country in battle. There are also several aircraft on display including helicopters and fighter jets from different eras. Allow yourself some time to take it all in - for a truly immersive experience visitors can even try on combat costumes from World War II or even have a ride on a restored tank from the 1950s!
