The Basque Country of Spain is a unique and vibrant region located in the northern part of the Iberian Peninsula. This autonomous community, located on the border between France and Spain, offers visitors a rich culture, amazing architecture and stunning scenery. Tourists should not miss visiting Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, which houses some of the most impressive modern art collections in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Additionally, La Concha beach in San Sebastian is one of the best beaches in Spain with its crystal blue waters and golden sand.

The Basque region also has an interesting history associated with it. The area dates back to pre-Roman times when it was populated by various tribes such as Aquitanians and Vascones who spoke an ancient language called Euskera that still exists today! The Basques have retained their unique cultural identity through centuries despite frequent invasions by foreigners including Romans, Visigoths and Arabs.
