Watch out for fishing lines when walking along the pier - There are always fishermen present who have their lines cast far out onto the ocean so make sure you watch your step!
Enjoy some local seafood cuisine - Some of the best seafood restaurants in town line up along Pacific Coast Highway down from where it meets Balboa Boulevard near Balboa Fun Zone and just a few blocks away from the pier itself.
