Discover San Juan Capistrano
The Mission San Juan Capistrano is the city's main attraction and the oldest structure in town. Built in 1776 by Spanish missionaries, the mission offers visitors a glimpse into its past with exhibitions of artifacts and artworks from the 18th century. Other popular attractions include Los Rios Historic District, an area of houses that date back to 1794.
The city also plays host to several annual events including Fiesta de las Golondrinas (Swallows Day), where thousands of swallows arrive each year from their winter migration in Argentina; and Fiestas de Las Flores (Festival of Flowers), celebrating San Juan Capistrano's heritage with colorful parades and live music performances throughout town.
