It is part of the Haleakala National Park and is recognized for its stunning beauty, featuring cascading waterfalls and pools that are fed by rainfall from the nearby volcanic mountain, Haleakala.

Visitors to Oheo Gulch can indulge in a variety of outdoor activities. One of the most popular attractions is the Pipiwai Trail, a 4-mile round trip hike that leads to the impressive Waimoku Falls.
