The Latvian National Museum of Art, located in the heart of Riga, Latvia, is a treasure trove of Latvian and Baltic art. Housed in a stunningly restored 19th-century building, the museum is a testament to the nation’s rich cultural heritage and artistic prowess. It boasts an impressive collection of over 52,000 works, spanning from the mid-18th century to the present day, making it the largest depository of professional art in Latvia.

Visitors to the museum can explore four floors of exhibitions, each offering a unique insight into Latvian art history. The highlight of the museum is the collection of works by the famed Latvian painter, Janis Rozentals, whose portraits and landscapes are celebrated for their expressive power. Additionally, the museum’s top floor offers a panoramic view of Riga’s cityscape, a sight that is as captivating as the art within the museum itself.
