Visit Songkhla


Songkhla is a southern province of Thailand located on the Gulf of Thailand. It's known for its beautiful beaches, traditional fishing villages, and cultural attractions. The provincial capital is the city of Songkhla which is a popular tourist destination with a variety of cultural attractions, such as an old Chinese temple and several museums.

When you visit Songkhla, make sure to check out Laem Samila Beach which is famous for its long sandy beach as well as some historical sites like Phra Chedi Klang Nam Stupa - a Buddhist temple built in 1747. Another great spot to visit is Wat Mahathat Worawiharn Temple, one of the oldest temples in Songkhla with amazing architecture and sculptures that showcase the town's history and culture.

The province has an interesting historical past - before it became part of modern-day Thailand it was once home to various cultures including Chinese, Malay, Siamese and Hindu influences which can still be seen today among its local people and communities.
