Washington is the capital of the United States and home to national monuments, memorials, and government buildings. It is located between Virginia and Maryland along the Potomac River. The city boasts iconic landmarks like the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, White House and US Capitol Building.
